Chad E. Beebe, AIA, SASHE

Chad Beebe is a registered architect, a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager, and a Certified Building Official. He is currently Deputy Executive Director for the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association.

He serves on many national panels and committees that develop regulations for the design and construction of health care facilities. Mr. Beebe is a highly active member of the National Fire Protection Association and a member of the NFPA Standards Council, the multidisciplinary body responsible for issuing the NFPA documents.

From 1999 to 2010, Mr. Beebe served as the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) for the Washington State Department of Health and managed its Construction Review Services program, which is responsible for overseeing the design and construction of all health care-related facilities in the state, including board and care facilities, nursing homes, and hospitals.

Wayne Klingelsmith, FASHE, CHFM, MBA

Wayne is Principal of MSL Healthcare Consulting, Inc. and works with healthcare facilities on improving organizational and environmental performance as well as preparing for Joint Commission surveys.  MSL provides mock surveys, Life Safety Code assessments, emergency management guidance and assistance in policy/procedure development. 

Wayne has over 30 years of hospital Facilities Management experience as former Director of Facilities Management for hospitals in both Florida and Georgia.

His education includes an Associate Degree in Air Conditioning Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master in Business Administration.

Wayne was President of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) in 2002 and a member of the ASHE Board of Directors from 1997 to 2003.  He has chaired numerous ASHE committees, including the CHFM development committee and was a charter member of the Board of Directors of the American Hospital Association - Certification Center.  He chaired the ASHE Recognition Task Force for the past 15 years.

Wayne was president of the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association in 1992 and is a life member of the Georgia Association for Healthcare Facility Managers and a life member of ASHE.
